Stephen Forsey Masters Swim Meet Review
Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate all of our masters’ swimmers that raced this last weekend in Markham!!!
On Sunday, March 22nd 6 of our masters’ swimmers were taking advantage of the final Swim Ontario Masters swim meet series competition of the 2025-2026 season before the Ontario Masters Provincial Championships in April. We had a great showing again at the swim meet in Markham and our masters ended up setting down 8 NEW club records, 2 Ontario Records were broken by Cameron Charlton, some swimmers swam to all-time personal bests, and every single swimmer had outstanding performances!!!!
As always everyone was super supportive of their follow teammate (i.e. cheering on one and other and congratulating each other of their performances... no matter the results!). Additionally, many of the racers were able to reconnect with old friends (or made some new ones) both around the pool or up at the tasty potluck which the THOR swimmers and club put on for everyone... As we all know that masters swim meets are much more about the social interaction and overall experience rather then just racing - Way to go everyone on your performances this past weekend and hopefully you had an incredible time!!!
The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to the Thornhill Multisports club, all of the volunteer officials, and their potluck volunteers for helping to run this excellent competition for our swimmers this past weekend and keep everyone well fed!

Our club now looks forward to our next Age Group swim meet the BAC Long Course Spring Invitational in Brantford from Friday, Aprl 10th through to Sunday, April 12th were we will have our age group swimmers race their butts off against swimmers from around the region! Good luck everyone with your final preparations as you get all geared up for the swim meet!
