When practicing/training we recommend that our athletes have the necessary equipment that they require.

When representing the club at swim meets, games, tournaments, and other events, athletes should be proudly wear Middlesex Club Apparel.

More Defined Details

Swim Caps: 

  • All swimmers should wear a Middlesex Swimming cap during swim practice unless they perfer to not wear a swim cap.
  • Swimmers must wear a Middlesex Swimming cap during competitions.
  • Any swimmer with long hair is should seriously consider wearing a swim cap during practice and competitions to protect your hair.
  • The coaching staff may also determine who requires wearing a cap.

Goggles: 

  • It is mandatory that each swimmer wear appropriate swim goggles during practice and competition.

Nose Plugs: 

  • The use of nose plugs is prohibited during practice or competition, as nose plugs prevent proper breathing cycles and the development of proper technique.  
  • Nose plugs may be used during backstroke at the discretion of each coach.

Clothing: 

  • Official Middlesex Swimming clothing must be worn at swim meets, tournament, games, and for team travel.
  • This may include t-shirts, sweaters, tracksuits, plain black sweat pants, track pants, or shorts are acceptable for wearing on deck at swim meets.

Practice Suits: 

  • The coaching staff will determine what is appropriate.

Racing Suits: 

  • Middlesex Swimming logo is optional.

Water Polo Suits: 

  • Team Turbo Suits are required for tournaments.

Equipment Recycling Program

  • If you are looking to pass on old Swim or Water Polo clothes/equipment that doesn't fit your athlete any longer or isn't being used by them any more, you can donate items back to the Club for either club use or given out to other swimming members in need.
