2025 World Trials & Western Long Course Regional Championships Swim Meet Reviews

Middlesex Admin

Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Kyle Stuckless on his racing performances at the 2025 Bell Canada Swimming Trials that ran from June 7th through to June 12th in Victoria as well as our 7 swimmers who headed to Windsor to compete against the best swimmers from around the region in the 2025 Western Regional Long Course Championships this past weekend!!!

2025 Bell Canada Swimming Trials Review

Kyle was racing at the 2025 Bell Canada Swimming Trials that ran from June 7th through to June 12th in Victoria, BC. This competition attracted 147 clubs and 787 of the very best swimmers from all across Canada as well as some top end swimmers from the U.S. and different parts of the world.

Kyle had a good competition overall as this was his very first ever World Trials that he has raced in as well as his first time racing in the senior open category. The competition featured a field of incredibly fast swimmers, an electric atmosphere, and multiple WORLD RECORDS were set by Canada's own SUMMER MCINTOSH!!!

Kyle ended up racing to just off his personal best times at the swim meet. Because Kyle has now been moved into the Open Category (which is much more difficult than the Junior Category) he unfortunately did not make any finals at the swim meet... But he is determined to ensure that changes in the future - Congratulations again Kyle on your performances and we look forward to big things as you continue forward in the pool this summer!!!

The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to Swimming Canada, all of the volunteer officials from all over Canada, and everyone else involved for helping to run the 2025 Bell Canada Swimming World Trials.

2025 Western Regional Long Course Championships Review

For some of our swimmers this was their 1st time participating in the Western Regional Championships, while others have been there before. However, no matter if this was their first championship swim meet experience at this level or not all of the swimmers put together the best races that they could and came away with some respectable results. Every swimmer swam to at least one personal best time and special mentions goes out to those who made finals at the swim meet (Tom Morton, Ibrahim Moursy, Adam Palma, and Anthony Stuckless).

Congratulations to all of the athletes on your wonderful performances this past weekend and for pushing yourself to new heights!

The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to the Windsor Aquatic Club and all of the other volunteer officials for helping to run this excellent swim meet for all of the swimmers this past weekend!
