Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate our age group swimmers on their wonderful performances that they produced this last weekend in London at the Nothers 2024 Fall Invitational swim meet!!!

Nothers Fall Invitational Swim Meet Review

This past Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 27 of our age group swimmers were racing at the Nothers 2024 Fall Invitational swim meet against hundreds of swimmers from around the Southwestern Region of Ontario to start our competitive swimming competition season off this year.

All of our age group swimmers had an excellent competition! We had a lot of heat winners (where the 1st person to the wall wins the heat!!!), every single swimmer had a best time in the races that they competed within (20 of the 27 swimmers ended up obtaining a remarkable feat of swimming a best time in every race that they competed in), and more then a few swimmers requalified for the Western Regional Short Course Championships that will be held later in the season this upcoming February back again in London!!!

Special mention also goes out to Sunsanee Barill, Ellen Butler, Manuela Cifuentes, Sadie Francis, Rokaya Hamada, Sky L'Ecuyer-Prytula, Olivia Michaud, Chloe Stanish, and Zoe Yuan who competed in their first ever swim meet! All of these swimmers blew away both the coaching staffs’ expectations and their entry times. Many of them won their heats in at least one race, and came away from the swim meet with some invaluable experiences that will serve them well in the future both in and out of the pool.

Great job everyone on your races this past weekend, you made us all very proud!

The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to the London Aquatic Club (LAC) and all of the volunteer officials from all over Southwestern Ontario for helping to run this excellent competition for our swimmers this past weekend!

Our club now looks forward to our first Masters swim meet of the 2024-2025 season where 14 of our masters’ swimmers will be competing against individuals from around Ontario, Canada, and else where in the world this Saturday, November 30th in Etobicoke at the Charlie Lane Semi Serious 16 swim meet.
