2024 Speedo Canadian Summer Nationals Review

Middlesex Admin

Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Kyle Stuckless on his wonderful racing performances this last week at the 2024 Speedo Canadian Summer Nationals in Scarborough from Wednesday, July 24th to Tuesday, July 30th!!!

2024 Speedo Canadian Summer Nationals Review

This competition attracted 149 clubs and 928 of the very best swimmers from all across Canada as well as some top end swimmers from the U.S. and different parts of the world as far away as Singapore.

Very similar to the Olympic Trials earlier in May the competition featured a field of incredibly fast swimmers and a heated atmosphere. Kyle had another solid competition overall to finish out his regular season with the club before getting ready to move forward into the next chapter of his swimming career and life with the University of Western Men's Swimming Team this upcoming 2024-2025 season.

Kyle ended up racing very strongly in the prelim/morning sessions making his way into finals in 5 of the 6 races that he competed within, which was a phenomenal showing.  Additionally, Kyle was able to get some new personal best times as well as 5 new club records. Out of the 5 finals that Kyle qualified for his highest placement was 8th - Congratulations again Kyle on your performances and we look forward to seeing many more big things to come from you as you continue on your swimming journey in university!!!

The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to Swimming Canada, all of the volunteer officials from all over Canada (an even one official that came up from Australia to officiate), and everyone else involved for helping to run the weeklong competition.
