Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Jennifer Komorowski and the rest of our age group swimmers on their wonderful racing this last weekend either in Gravenhurst or London at their respective competitions!!!

 

2024 Ontario Masters Open Water Swimming Championships Review

This past weekend Jennifer Komorowski was racing in Gravenhurst at Gull Lake on Saturday and Sunday. This open water event attracted swimmers from all across Ontario.


Jennifer raced in 2 open water races the 1km as well as the 3km events. In the Masters Women's 1km race Jennifer ended up coming away with a 3rd place finish and bronze medal!!! In the 3km race Jennifer swam to placing 8th in the women's category.

Dr. Paul Hauch Swim Meet Review

Back in London on Saturday and Sunday 11 of our age group swimmers were racing at the 2024 Dr. Paul Hauch swim meet.

Again, our age group swimmers had a excellent competition! We had a lot of heat winners (where they raced for prizes - 1st person to the wall wins!!!), almost every single swimmer had a best time in the races that they competed within, and some more club records were set by Kyle Stuckless and Cleo Murphy!!!

Special mention also goes out to Charlotte and Lawrence Li who competed in their first ever swim meet! Both Charlotte and Lawrence blew away their entry times, won their heats in at least one race, and came away from the competition with some awards for how they placed within their respective age categories - Way to go Charlotte & Lawrence!!!

Great job everyone on your races this past weekend, you made us all very proud!

 

The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to the Swim Ontario, the London Aquatic Club (LAC), and all of the volunteer officials from all over Ontario for helping to run both of these excellent competitions for our swimmers this past weekend!

Our club now looks forward to the final swim meet of the 2024-2025 season 2024 Speedo Swimming Canadian Championships where Kyle Stuckless will be competing against the best swimmers from all across Canada as well as some international swimmers starting Wednesday, July 24th running through to Monday, July 29th in Scarborough. Good luck Kyle in all of your races, we know that you will do great!
